Chelsea won the Champions League

25/11/2012 10:48 Chelsea won the Champions League after a dramatic climax to the final played in the Allianz Arena. Despite home advantage for the final, Bayern Munich couldn’t break down a resilient Chelsea defence and when they did in the 85th minute through Thomas Muller, Didier Drogba equalized minutes later with a tremendous header. Arjen Robben missed a penalty in extra time against his former club after Petr Cech saved. It was a brilliant save from Petr Cech that eventually proved one of the biggest moments for Chelsea. The dreaded penalty shoot out was still predicted to be won by the German side but despite Juan Mata missing Chelsea’s opening penalty, Ivan Olic and Sebastian Schweinsteiger missed theirs and Didier Drogba scored the decisive penalty.
